I chose this picture as a graphic illustration of when pork is bad for gout. Because it shows huge portions of pork accompanied by lots of other meats. With the only plant-based food being a token tiny salad garnish.
Now you can see from the list that pork is a moderate purine food. So it is good for most gout sufferers unless you are on a very restricted low purine diet. But you have to eat pork moderately. Which means around 100 grams per serving once or twice a month. Or if you want more frequent pork consumption switch things round. That means treat pork as a garnish on a plant-based meal. Otherwise, pork is bad for gout!
