Can You Get FMLA for Gout?
The main aim of GoutPal is to help you work with your doctor to find a permanent cure for gout. So I organize the GoutPal pages around different phases of your gout progression. Where you can see your progress towards that cure.
But for some gout sufferers, it's hard to see beyond the debilitating symptoms that they are experiencing. Especially if the nature of your job means that gout is limiting your capacity to work. So this discussion is about claiming FMLA when you have gout. At least until you can work with your doctor to find the right treatments that will allow you to work. In the hope that you can then start to discuss a permanent cure for your excess uric acid.
After the discussion, I've added links where you can find more information and help about FMLA for gout.
Can You Get FMLA for Your Gout?
As you can see, claiming FMLA depends on your current gout symptoms. As well as your response to medications. Also, your work environment might be a factor.
So FMLA claims can be complicated. And legal issues are beyond the scope of GoutPal. However, my information about gout symptoms and other phases of gout progression should empower you to discuss effective gout cures with your doctor. Enabling you to lead an active life independent of FMLA.
