    Greetings gout sufferers,

It’s been a few months since I’ve been on here. Still exercising, taking various supplements and eating healthy. Haven’t had any more attacks, however, I have had a sore right thumb, which is better now and will explain maybe why might be better in a second.

Anyway, I have recently been studying newsletters by Dr. Russell Blaylock. I’m sure many of you folks have heard about him. I got a subscription to his medical newsletters, and they are loaded with much useful information about nutrients, etc., used in overcoming illness. He has a newsletter out about curcumin, which he calls the king of all anti-inflammatory supplements. At the present time, I happen to agree with him. That’s why I’m writing here because I am excited.

A couple of weeks ago, Jigsaw Health came out with a new product of theirs. jigsawhealth.com/supplements/curcumin

Please check that out because they have some information about it. Well, I ordered some for my husband and I to take. I have the gout, and we’re pretty sure that he has some kind of arthritis. I started taking my curcumin the last part of last week when my order came in. I’ll have to write to Jigsaw and tell them. I’ve been taking their magnesium w/SRT since 2007, I believe it was. Well, keep in mind that I’ve only been on the curcumin maybe a week now. You can take one or two a day. We’ve been taking one a day. It’s pretty potent. It’s joined in the capsule with extra-virgin olive oil to help you absorb it. Curcumin is difficult for our bodies to absorb without something like olive oil.

I’m so excited that I don’t know where to start on this. This is something that I noticed yesterday, so it took a few days. Pretty sure that it’s the curcumin, too. My thumb no longer hurts after two, three months of hurting. I haven’t mentioned this before, but I have had upper back pain all the time that I just live with. I’ve had it for years since I hurt my back working at a hospital in early 1996. It does not hurt now. Period. Pain is completely gone. It’s hurt all of those years and gotten worse, all the time stinging, tense feeling. No matter what exercises that I do, it’s always hurting. It doesn’t hurt now. So I’m thinking that this curcumin is helping me. It has to be. I realized it yesterday.

So if this curcumin is helping me so much after a week, I’m thinking that it will help other gout sufferers as well. You guys please check it out when you get a chance.

Now I have to go and do clothes. I’ll be back!

Sorry, figured out how to fix my profile, and now I no longer need this.

Am I alone in wondering what this is all about? The original post seems relevant to gout, if a little quirky. The follow-up comment makes me wonder if I’m losing my mind.

    Hi, Keith,

Sorry, just now getting back. Was tied up with business for a while. I’m sorry that my post isn’t clear, but I’ve been on here before posting, just not much in a good while. I had problems with my profile, but fixed that.

What I’m trying to say is this, curcumin is helping my gout tremendously. I’m still on it. I take 1 Jigsaw Health curcumin per day, then I am trying Life Extension brand of 2 per day. Life Extension brand is BCM-95, so you want something like that. I’m just trying them both to see. But they both seem to be excellent!

Dr. Russell Blaylock says that curcumin is the king of the anti-inflammatories. It’s already proven to help RA as good as medicines without the side effects. If you want to search out what is being studied on this magic curcumin, go and type it in at PubMed in their search field. It’s anticancer, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory. I might be missing something. Just recently at Baylor Medical Center Dallas, it’s being tested for depression with excellent results. It does better than the meds, plus without the dangerous side effects, and I think they take 1,000 mg per day.

There’s other places that has stuff about this study. Curcumin helps stop the inflammation, which inflammation is being found out to be a major cause of heart problems, depression, obesity, etc.

So whoever wants to make fun of me, go ahead. I don’t care. I’m just here to pass this on to whoever is interested. This may not help everyone, I know that. However, it might helps some other folks and their gout problems.

    Kind Regards,

    Tiza

from my research, if your looking for the strongest and best quality curcumin then you should try AOR’S INFLAMMATION RELIEF. if you check it out there’s no better one on the market. the only side effects of cucumin is that it makes your blood thinner. (for some of us that just might help too)

    Hi @alvin5791,
Won’t you share your research with us, otherwise it just sounds like a sales pitch (and only I’m allowed to do that 😉 )

How does your research into curcumin for gout match with my research, linked in my previous post? Also:

Why is it “strongest and best quality”
How did you determine that “there’s no better one on the market”
Where is the research that decided “the only side effects of cucumin is that it makes your blood thinner”

Thousands of gout sufferers (including me) are desperate to know where you get your information from. Please share.

sorry Mr Taylor, in a rush, will reply quickly. its not a sales pitch, im a painter by trade, lol. I dont even know if anti-inflammatory products like curcumin is even helpful, doesnt seemed to have helped my gout. just thought i would share this cuz i saw the advertisement in someones post above for the jig saw health one that didnt even list the type of curcuminoids or amount? Im on this site to try to find out how to help my gout, and sorry if my comment came out as if i knew how to cure someone elses gout, as it was not my intention. if i could re-word my comment it would read:
“im not sure if curcumin is a cure or even a helpful aid in the relief of gout. However if it is any help to anyone, I have enquired at 6 local health stores and done a lot of web research into anti inflammatory aids to help my high cholesterol and it seems that the general opinion is that AOR has really good quality products and there curcumin is a patented concentrated version and a high dose. There anti inflammatory product features both their curcumin with another anti inflammatory agent called bottswella. the total formula by AOR is called ANTI-INFLAMMATORY RELIEF. from the web research only that i did, the only side effects i found was it may thin your blood, however curcumin is a selected part of the turmeric root that has been used by the indian’s in cooking for thousands of years and there is no internet postings of negative side effects of turmeric. so once again im not promoting either curcumin for gout or the brand AOR but a lot of people on the web and owners of health food stores claim that they have really good products”

    sorry again Mr Taylor

    Hey @alvin5791,

No worries! Well, just one – I’m Keith. No one calls me Mr Taylor – I wondered who you were replying to at first 🙂

It’s me who needs to be sorry. I mistook your post for something else. My bad. Thank you for explaining about the anti-inflammatory properties of curcumin. I’m sure it will help other gout sufferers.

Please share more when you have time.
