steroid injections have helped me

A month ago I had my rheumatologist inject a steroid into both big toe joints and the improvement was dramatic (takes 1-2 days to kick in).  2 days ago, in the midst of another flare up, I had him inject into the one big toe joint that was flared up for a week and again, the improvement is dramatic.

I'm also newly on Uloric and working on the proper long term solution, but for those struggling short term and not finding relief other ways, you might see a rheumatologist and see if a steroid injection into the joint is right for you.
