I've been battling with aches since about March after having gone onto Allpurinol.

I'm 42 and active and the level of ache and stiffness is beyond just the decline in age.

I'm pretty active.

I've started taking glucosamin (1500mg per day) – been about a month and it is helping me somewhat.I've still got some stiffness but not as bad – and I am looser on a squash court.

My GP has raised the possiblity of arthritis coming on as well though?

I have a pdf file about glucosamin – if you want I can send it on.

I am struggling a lot with gout this year – I am persisting with the allopurinol – but it is a bit depressing.
