I'm 62 year overweight old black female with gout. My first attack was in May, it lasted a week. The uric acid levl was 8. I took celery extract, and different herbs, and changed my diet a little. My doctor gave me indomethacin whch was better than 500mg aspirin. My second attack was a two weeks later, I ate meat, and drank wine. It lasted five days.Uric level was 8.8 now I'm serious. I don't want to take prescribed meds. I now take atacand without the water pill. I'm trying to balance my meals. I juiced carrots, and celery to drink everyday. Alfalfa tea, and plenty of blackberries, everyday. I'm purchasing a meter, and Uricelax. I lost 2lbs last week.
