thanks for all the input. I use the VA healthcare system and can't get in till the 28th of this month. Therefore, checking my uric acid levels can't happen til then. I am going to try and get some test strips from a pharmacy and I did take plenty of pictures of my “troll foot”. It seems to be subsiding at this point, so I am at least doin a little better pain and swelling wise.

I love this website and have found it ultra helpful in answering my questions. Again thanks for the input folks gotta keep on keepin on.
