This photograph of surgical removal of gouty tophi from penis is one of two unforgiving photographs from my review of Penis Tophi. The review emphasizes the dangers associated with untreated gout.
High uric acid damages joints, and spreads to organs. Though it mainly affects skin, kidneys, and heart, no organ is safe, as this photograph shows. Note that this damaging spread of uric acid crystals occurs whenever uric acid level is higher than 6, irrespective of whether you have a gout attack or not.
